The Ironwright Anvil Stand is over-built to absorb heavy hammer blows while maintaining a compact footprint. More than a base, the massive weight of this solid timber block acts as a performance upgrade. By tightly marrying the anvil to this dense core, it increases the overall working mass of your setup—returning more energy to your hammer, moving metal faster, and drastically reducing user fatigue.

Step 2: Choose Your Stand Model Tier

Tier 1: Stand Only (Base Model)

• What it is: Rock-solid, high-density timber core block.

• What's included: 6-foot 1/4-inch industrial chain, stainless steel M6 turnbuckles, and heavy-duty M10 eye hooks.

• Assembly note: Customer assembles and tensions the mounting hardware upon delivery to fit their specific anvil. (Stationary base—no casters, magnets, or racks).

Tier 2: The Mobile Stand

• What it is: Industrial timber core block upgraded for easy shop movement.

• What's included: Standard tie-down hardware plus four pre-installed retractable step-down casters. Step on the levers to roll, flip them up to drop flat for striking.

Tier 3: The Mobile & Magnetic Stand

• What it is: Advanced shop mobility combined with secure small-tool organization.

• What's included: Everything from Tier 2 plus two integrated, flush-mounted ultra-strength magnets to securely hold hot knives, horseshoes, or a 3lb hand hammer.

Proper body mechanics are crucial for forging. We custom-build every stand to put your anvil face at your exact knuckle height to maximize hammer impact and protect your lower back.

How to Measure: Stand up straight wearing shop boots, with shoulders relaxed and arms hanging naturally. Measure the distance from the floor to the knuckles of your hammer hand. This is your optimal total height.

High-Density, Rock-Solid Construction

• Solid Wood Core: Built from 2x12 Prime Douglas Timber, bonded with industrial glue, and compressed using 2.5-inch timber screws and four heavy-duty 3/8-inch threaded tie rods.

• Vibration Dampening: Features a thick 1/2-inch rubber base layer paired with premium silicone insulation at the floor contact point and directly underneath the anvil. This kills the high-pitched "ring," absorbs shock, and protects your floor.
