Step 2: The Ironwright Stand Features

Every stand is over-built using premium materials to eliminate rattle, dampen vibration, and keep your most-used tools within arm's reach.

Custom Built to Knuckle Height
Proper body mechanics are crucial for forging. These stands are designed to put the anvil face at "knuckle height" to maximize your hammer strikes and save your back.

How to Measure: Stand up straight wearing your work boots, with your shoulders relaxed and your arms hanging naturally at your sides. Have someone measure the distance from the floor to the knuckles of your hammer hand. This measurement is the optimal height for the top face of your anvil.

Rock-Solid Construction

Solid Wood Core: Built from 2x12 Prime Douglas Timber, bonded with premium wood glue, and secured with 2.5-inch timber screws and four 3/8 threaded rods (with nuts and pressure washers) for maximum core density.

Vibration Dampening: Features a 1/2-inch rubber base layer, plus layers of premium silicone at the floor contact point and directly underneath the anvil to absorb shock, kill the "ring," and protect your floor.

Industrial Mounting System

Heavy-Duty Tie Down & Sound Deadening: Your anvil is locked to the timber block using a 6-foot 1/4-inch chain. Wrapping the chain tightly around the anvil's waist not only secures it but acts as an excellent dampener, significantly cutting down the high-pitched ring of the anvil.

Precision Tension: Secured with high-grade stainless steel M6 turnbuckles and heavy-duty M10 eye hooks, allowing you to easily adjust the chain tension over time as the wood settles.

Ultimate Mobility

Retractable Casters: Equipped with four heavy-duty retractable casters. Simply step on the levers to lift the massive block, roll it exactly where you need it, and flip the levers up to drop it dead-flat onto its rubber base for striking.

Built-In Organization (Farrier Friendly)

Twin Tool Racks: Custom steel racks on the sides give you a secure place to drop your hot tongs and hammers.

Extreme-Strength Magnets: Two integrated heavy-duty magnets are incredibly strong—perfect for farriers and bladesmiths alike. They will easily hold hot-fitting knives, horseshoes, nails, and can even securely hold a 3lb hand hammer right against the wood block.
